Normally astronauts are scientists or engineers. They are the most important roles when managing a spacecraft or conducting research in outer space. No such thing as space pirates... Yet.

no, they don't they do not come from all walks of life, you have to undergo training a potter cannot be a astronaut; its not easy doing that job

no, they don't they do not come from all walks of life, you have to undergo training a potter cannot be a astronaut; its not easy doing that job
Astronaut training only happens once you've been inducted into the program.
It's about a decade's worth.
