What? Of course not! Make them all you want. The truth is, I'm NOT ok. But that's neither here nor there. As far as you guys are concerned, I'm just the same old me.

Well, quit. I mean, you don't even know me! For all you should care, I could just be a bot.

Part 2

No, this is not part of 2034, it's just the same year coincidentally for some reason. Actually, edited it to be in 2042.

Suddenly, as if nothing but this exact moment had been awaited, he heard the yells of "Flugzeug! Flugzeug!"
Everyone ducked as German aircraft strafed them.
Robert hit the ground hard, rolling over to shelter behind what was left of a brick wall.
His first thought was, That was close. His second, Holy cow, the convoy is carrying ammunition!

He scrambled to get as far away as possible whilst simultaneously yelling about the trucks.
He didn't know who had heard him, nor did he care, he ran forwards, knowing that at this exact moment, anywhere was better than sitting next to a highly flammable and explosive object as you're being bombed.
He was suddenly projected forward as searing heat hit his back, and he knew that at least one of the trucks had exploded.
Robert landed flat on his stomach, the wind knocked out of him.
His back felt as if it was on fire.
Scratch that, it probably is.
He rolled around to extinguish anything just in case, although that wasn't going to alleviate the pain.
In any case, he was still capable of moving around.
He slowly got up looking up to see where the German aircraft were.
The fireworks above him were mesmerising as he watched Federation Blitzkrafte engage German fighters.
He was abruptly brought back to the ground as a siren howled and suddenly the streets were crawling with his comrades.
It wasn't a bombardement siren.
Someone shoved a gun into his hands and another yelled to brace for the attack.
He turned around confused only to be missed by an Alligator APC by mere centimeters.
The massive armoured personnel carriers rolled forward to deploy troops, the anti air turret tracking the skies and the anti-tank one sweeping the eastern bank.
He felt the air become heavy with smell of blood and smoke.
Explosions were around him.
Bullets whizzed past and people screamed unintelligibly.
It was overwhelming and his head started spinning as other soldiers yelled at him to move and fire.
Eventually someone pushed him towards a machine gun emplacement.
To his horror, he found the operator dead at his feet and the gun still tainted with his blood.
"Just fire it!"
Reluctantly he grabbed the handles and pressed the triggers, closing his eyes and praying anyone he hit would have a quick death.
There were so many.
The Germans seemed to really be pushing.
The Rhine was red.
Countless bodies on either side lay on the ground riddled with bullets.
Yet, they kept coming.
Seven to one, they were outnumbered.
His gun stopped shooting, just like that.
It had run out of ammunition.
He turned to search for more but there was no one.
At least, no one who was alive and on his side.
He was surrounded.
At that moment he knew what was to be done.
He felt the bullet hit his torso.
He clutched his abdomen and stumbled over to the flare gun next to each machine gun.
Another round hit him in the back of the shoulder.
He felt one last round hit his back.
He clutched the flare gun, feeling the life drain out of him.
He raised his other arm upwards, and used his remaining strength to pull the trigger.
A red flare shot up over the battlefield.
He knew what would come next.
A hundred shells were loaded into the Federation artillery canons just a few kilometers away.
The first line of defense had fallen.
Nothing would be left.
A hundred shells whistled as they fell.
Another hundred came after.
And another hundred.
Destroying anything present in the sector of defense.
The second line got ready to face their foe.
Snipers hid on the destroyed rooftops.
Tanks lay around corners.
Men cowered in their make-shift trenches.
As the sun dawned, it dawned on a ravaged landscape.
Thousands of bodies lay strewn on the streets.
Some were Federation, others German.
But in death, they were identical.

On that day, two thousand Federation troops died on their homeland, and sixty-four thousand Germans had died in one of their last offensives.
The Rhineland Federation had held.
Germany had, at this point, lost two million men in a war for 1 200 Kilometers of land.
The war was ending, and Germany had been broken.
The will of the German people had never really been for the war, and now, too many had died for an invasion condemned by the UN.

"Then what happened, tonton?"

"War happened. We pushed them back and reclaimed what was ours."

A man sat on a bench, bent over his crutches in front of a memorial.
The memorial was a statue of 26 soldiers wearing military uniforms, laughing or smiling.

"I knew every one of those men and women, and not one came back."
The child looked at his uncle, as he seemed to get lost in his mind.
"Only four of us came back. Four!
Promise me something, promise me you'll never turn war into glory as we did..."
The child nodded and looked at one of the men.
He had the same square jaw and smile as his uncle, but the same nose as the child.
In fact, he'd seen that face in a picture in his house.
His father. A father he'd never known.
A father he'd only ever see through pictures and representations.
But with his innocence, he only thought he saw it wink in that friendly manner that an accomplice does.

Real good Survivor.

On another note, I just got my first real halo game (Not Spartan: Assault/Strike).
The fifth cause I can’t get the first. But hey, it’s better nothing!
