Take lots of pictures outside and do very subtle edits. If you keep working on the right stuff, you'll get adjusted to that kind of work, and that's when the staff picks come. Find something you're already good at then build on it! Trust me, it works!

It took me a year and a half to get my first pick (it was a stop motion), then I got 12 more in like six months.
Good things come to those who wait and take great pictures/make customs/make stop motions/make MOCs.
