Fireteam Glory Part 11
The first two Innies went down with a frag grenade thrown by Ivanoff. The other three immediately were forced behind cover by Santos and Teresa's suppressing fire. Ivanoff charged towards the landing pad. He stopped behind a crate and prepared another grenade. He saw one of the Innies mounting a chaingun. He threw the grenade, but it fell short of it's target. The gun turned in his direction. He ducked back behind cover. Santos and Teresa took cover as the Innies got a chance to fire back. Teresa yelled at Santos, "Cover me! I'm going to find a better angle!" Santos nodded, and began spraying the chaingun with his SMG. Teresa sprinted to a rock that was closer to the chaingun. After changing her almost empty magazine, she jumped over the rock, and caught the gunner unprepared. The Innie went down with a quick burst of her rifle. Her victory was short lived, however, as the last two Innies spotted her. They opened fire, and Teresa dove to the side. She managed to get out of the Innies line of sight, but no before catching a round in her right leg. Ivanoff took the opportunity to charge the distracted Innies and killed one with a blast from his shotgun. The other one turned around, but was met with Ivanoff slamming the shotgun into his face. The blow knocked the Innie out cold. "That's the last one!" Ivanoff called out. Santos came up, with Teresa leaning on his shoulder. Teresa looked at Ivanoff and said, "No problem sir, I stabilized the wound." Santos looked at the unconscious Innie, "Why did you keep that one alive?" He asked. Ivanoff replied, "Didn't have enough time to pump my gun again. And killing him now that he's unconscious wouldn't be very fair." Teresa asked, "What do we do with him?" Ivanoff searched one of the Innies and found a pair of cuffs. He used them to secure the unconscious Innie to a railing. Ivanoff, satisfied that their new prisoner wasn't going anywhere, said to Teresa and Santos, "Alright, let's get this bird ready to fly!"

Fireteam Glory Part 12
Ivanoff got into the Falcon's cockpit. He knew the basics of flying, thanks to a pilot he used to be friends with. He remembered the pilot's name. It was Kip, Kip Rippen. An odd fellow. Wanted to host a TV show after retirement. Kip had transferred to Earth a few years back. Not that it mattered. Ivanoff warmed up the engines and checked to see if all systems were functional. He listend to the engines as they hummed. He got out of the cockpit, and saw Santos carrying a few small boxes. When Santos got closer, Ivanoff saw that they were boxes of rockets. And on Santos' back, was a SPNKr Rocket Launcher. Teresa limped over to the Falcon. She hopped onto the right turret. Santos took a seat on the left side, and loaded the SPNKr. Teresa and Santos nodded, signifying that they were ready. Ivanoff returned to the cockpit. He spun up the propellers, and the Falcon began to lift off. They went up until they were above the trees. Ivanoff lit another Sweet William, and began flying towards the outpost.

Note: This Kip Rippen is separate from the Kip from The Late Night with Kip Rippen! Similar, but not the same person!

Fireteam Glory Part 13
Larry stared at Booth. She wasn't doing good. The Innies had patched her up so she wouldn't bleed to death, but they hadn't done anything else. She was pale and was her breathing was labored. Larry thought to himself, "If Usanagi was here, she'd have you up and about in no time." He took another crack at his cuffs, struggling against them. No luck. He wondered where the others were. He hadn't seen any other prisoners. Just then, he heard a faint sound. It was a Falcon, and it was getting louder by the second. He looked in the direction the sound was coming from, and saw a Falcon come over the treeline. He thought it was just another Innie vehicle. But then it opened fire on the outpost.

Santos took aim with the SPNKr. Ivanoff's lousy piloting wasn't helping his already shaky aim. But when he fired, he was surprised to see he scored a direct hit on one of the Scorpions. The Scorpion went up in a ball of flame. "One down, one to go!" Santos shouted. Teresa used her turret to mow down several Innies before they began returning fire. Several rounds pinged off the fuselage. She turned her attention to one of the Spades. It was being boarded, and the gunner was taking aim. She fired at the Spade. She obviously hit the gas tank, as it disappeared in a fireball. Santos fired his second rocket at the last Scorpion. But this time, his aim was off. The rocket shot off to the side, and struck one of the Scorpions treads. "Well," Santos said to himself, "at least it can't get away now." He reached for one of the boxes of rockets. He loaded another set of rockets into the SPNKr. He got ready to take out the Scorpion for good, but as he took aim, a rocket screeched by the Falcon. He looked for the source, but didn't see anything. He turned to Teresa to ask if she could see anything. But before he could, another rocket slammed into the tail of the Falcon. Santos held on to the railing inside the Falcon as it went down. He blacked out a few moments before they hit the ground.

Fireteam Glory Part 14
The Commander looked at his data pad. Still no communication with Glory. He knew something was wrong. He called one of his officers over, a Corporal Edmonds. He spoke to Edmonds, "We haven't had any contact with Fireteam Glory in 2 hours. They were to check up on an outpost that had gone dark. I need you to take several squads out there and see what's wrong." Edmonds nodded and walked out of the room.

Santos woke up after someone splashed cold water on his face. He looked for the source, and saw an Innie holding a tin bucket. He tried to get up to strangle the Innie, but was kicked in the gut for his troubles. He fell down. He then noticed that his hands were cuffed. He looked around and saw Ivanoff and Teresa. They were sitting about 10 feet away from him. He looked around the room they were in. It looked like a bunk room. All the bunks had been moved to one side of the room. And in the center of the room was a table and a couple of chairs. He saw several more Innies around the room. Two were positioned at the door out of the room, and one was standing next to Ivanoff and Teresa. He saw the door open, and a large man walked into the room. He pointed to Santos, and his guard pulled him up off the ground. He felt an unpleasant pain in his side. He figured that was from the crash. The guard sat him down in the chair. After a few seconds of silence, Santos spoke up. "So, do I start, or do you?" He said. The man stared at him at him. The man spoke, "Alright, this is how it will work. I ask a question, and you will answer. If you refuse to answer, you will regret it." Santos didn't like the ominous threat's implications. Just as the man started to ask, however, an explosion shook the building. The lights flickered. A soldier burst through the door in a state of panic. "UNSC reinforcements just arrived!" The soldier told the the man. "They're cutting down our forces!" Another explosion shook the building. The man immediately stood up and motioned for a few of the soldiers to follow. He stopped in the doorway and whispered something to one of the Innies, who smiled with unsettling glee. The man left, and the Innie drew her pistol out of it's holster. Santos knew what that meant, no witnesses. Execution.
