Dead moon; part 3
The deck shook as Zar 'reyes made his way towards the ship-master.
It shook again, and he stumbled a little.
"Ship-master..."
"I know."
"We need to glass that unholy moon immediately!"
"I wish it were so simple."
The humans were almost on board the ship by now.
"Ship-master, how do you think they managed to..."
"To breach all of our defenses? The vermin were desperate and cornered."
"Yet we should have-"
"There was nothing we could do. Reports indicate they seemed to be too angry to die, getting back up relentlessly."
"Ship-master... That moon is unnatural, I tell you. We must glass it immediately!"
"Your opinion was noted. Dismissed."
A hunter crashed through a wall and tore one of his ODSTs to shreds.
Survivor was honestly surprised they had made it so far.
Everyone had sustained at least one major injury but they had still pushed through.
It was unsettling, he could swear that some of the ODSTs should've been dead ten times over by now.
Then again, I'm injured, I must be hallucinating.
He shot two grunts trying to flank the group.
"Sarge, look!!"
An ODST was pointing excitedly at a Covenant Spirit that was stationary on a landing pad.
"Finally."
Survivor yelled to push towards the spirit and the assault shifted around.
A rocket wooshed past him and hit the Hunter directly in the exposed torso, shredding it.
He gave a thumbs up to Weary, who was the one with the launcher.
"Give these aliens the h3ll they desire so badly!"
A hundred shots rang out as they slaughtered the remaining covenant.
"HOORAH!"
Survivor limped up to the open dropship.
He walked inside triumphantly and the 48 remaining ODSTs followed.
"I want at least three volunteers to pilot it!"
