Part 15
Larry watched the Falcon as it spun out of control. It slammed into the ground about 50 feet away from him. Immediately, Innies were swarming around it. Three surrounded the cockpit, and one was killed with a blast from a shotgun. The other two started struggling to pull the pilot out. When they did, Larry saw that it was Ivanoff. A few more Innies pulled Santos and Teresa out of the wreckage as well. They were all cuffed and taken inside the outpost. After what Larry assumed had been 10 minutes, all chaos broke loose. Several Hornets swarmed over the treeline, and a few Warthogs tore into the clearing. The Innies scrambled to take defensive positions again. The Innie Scorpion fired at one of the Hornets, but was promptly destroyed by a swarm of missiles from the other Hornets. The Warthogs stopped and began releasing their cargo. Marines began cutting down Innies left and right. Several Innies tried boarding Spades and using the chainguns. But as they did, sniper fire erupted from the edge of the clearing. Suffering heavy casualties, the Innies began falling back. After several minutes of intense fighting, the few remaining Innies surrendered. A few Marines ran over to Larry. They saw Booth. One of the Marines appeared to be a medic, and immediately got on his COM to call MEDVAC. Larry watched as several Marines breached the outpost. After a couple of minutes, the Marines came out of the outpost with Ivanoff, Teresa, and Santos. They were all in bad shape. They all had cuts and bruises from the crash, and Santos was leaning on Ivanoff to walk. A Pelican began descending into the clearing. When it landed, several more Marines came out, as well as Corporal Edmonds. A Marine came over and began fiddling with Larry's cuffs. After a few seconds, the cuffs finally came off. Larry stretched his arms and rubbed his sore wrists. He stood up and watched as Booth was loaded onto a stretcher and taken to the Pelican. Larry walked over to Corporal Edmonds. Edmonds smiled and said, "Looks like we got here just in time. Get onboard the Pelican, you'll be debriefed back at base." Larry did as he was ordered and boarded the Pelican. The ramp closed behind him and he felt the Pelican begin to lift off. He took a seat and decided to close his eyes and relax for the rest of the trip. It had been one heck of a day.

Part 16
3 weeks later.

Larry looked in the mirror. His bruises were almost gone. He had needed only minor medical attention. After he had finished looking he exited the latrine and stepped out into the barracks. He saw Ivanoff sitting in a corner. Santos was on his bunk, sleeping. And Teresa was looking at a data pad. Booth was still in the medical bay recovering. The doctors had operated on her and given her a blood transfusion. She would there until tomorrow, then she'd be ready to return. As well, tomorrow was their debrief with the Commander. He hoped everything would go well. Larry went over to his bunk and fetched his playing cards. He and Ivanoff had planned on playing a few rounds of poker. Winner got a 5% cut of the loser's pay. Larry felt lucky tonight.

Part 17
Larry woke up groggy and unhappy. He had lost to every round of last night's game to Ivanoff. It had been a bit humiliating to say the least. When he woke up, the barracks was empty. He figured everyone had gone to the mess hall for breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, Larry felt hungry. He got ready and went to the mess hall. When he got there, he saw the others sitting a table in the corner. He got in line. The breakfast for today was powdered eggs, pancakes, and cups of orange juice. He got his food and walked over to the table. He noticed that Booth was with them. Santos was the first to greet him with a, "Hey, there you are!" The others greeted him as well, and he sat down and began eating. As he ate, they didn't talk all that much. Ivanoff told Santos and Booth about how he beat Larry at poker. Larry finished his breakfast and got up to return his tray. He came back as the others got up. They all left the mess hall and began walking to the command center to debrief with the Commander.

They did indeed. But, will they return? Idk, I'm trying to be dramatic. Maybe they return, maybe not. Probably not. But there is a possibility... *spooky noises*

Part 18
The Commander sat at his desk. He was reading a novel, one about a vampire hunter. It wasn't very good. The protagonist had all the charisma of stale bread, and the plot was a bit messy. It had good action however. He had just reached the part when the hunter meets the Vampire Lord when Quinton called for him. Quinton was the base's smart AI. Quinton handled all information and communication. The Commander stood up and walked to the briefing room. When he entered, Quinton appeared on the table. Quinton was clad in a professor's outfit, complete with glasses and a smoking pipe. Quinton saluted and said, "Sir, Fireteam Glory is ready for debrief." The Commander said, "Bring them in." A minute passed, and the doors opened. The team walked into the room. "Welcome soldiers," the Commander said, "let's get started. Shall we?" The team members each had a seat, and the Commander started.

Part 19
"3 weeks ago, your team was sent to check on an outpost." The Commander was addressing Ivanoff directly, as he was the leader. "That is correct sir." Ivanoff said. "I sent two of my soldiers ahead to recon the situation, and they were compromised." The Commander typed into his data pad while Ivanoff spoke. "The rest of us arrived to find-" Before Ivanoff finished, the doors opened again. A woman walked into the room. She was wearing a suit, and had an Office of Naval Intelligence badge on her suit. She walked up to the Commander and whispered into his ear. The Commander looked at Glory and motioned for them to leave. Ivanoff started to protest, but the Commander again motioned for them to leave. The team did as they were ordered, and left the briefing room.
